Customer FAQs
Let Us Answer Your Questions
How fast are your doors?
They're fast-- they typically operate 7 times faster than conventional doors. Select models open at speeds over 100 inches per second.

Where can I get a new owner's manual?
Technical documents (owner's manuals, parts lists, drawings, etc.) are avaiable in the tech specs tab under each product or in the Rytec technical knowledge center. (http://authorized.rytecdoors.com/technical-knowledge-center/) If the document you require is not listed, contact Rytec at 888-GO-RYTEC.

Why use fabric for high-speed doors?
Today's industrial-grade fabrics are stronger, longer lasting and more resilient than ever. While lightweight and flexible, Rytec’s Rilon™ panel is available in 2ply and 3ply weights. The SBR panel on the Powerhouse rubber door series is rip and puncture resistant. It is made from the same material used to manufacture tires.

Where can I buy a Rytec door?
Rytec doors can be ordered through our network of local dealers or directly from the company. Refer to the contact page on this website.

Can I install a Rytec door on my home?
Yes. While they are "industrial strength", we've installed high-performance doors in many types of residential structures. They're ideal for enhancing security, maintaining indoor climates and accomodating faster vehicles. Applications include traditional and contemporary homes, loft buildings and "extreme garages" for automobile buffs.

What do you build other than doors?
High performance doors are the total focus of our business.

How do I choose the right doors for my facility?
There are many factors to consider in selecting the right door for your application. The Door Selecton Tool in the products section of this web site is a good place to start. Every application and environment is different. A Rytec representative will assess the specific application and reccomend the most appropriate doors, controllers, and activators for the facility.

Why do I need Rytec doors?
Almost all Rytec doors are high-speed, high-cycle doors. Compared to conventional doors, Rytec doors reduce energy costs (heating, cooling and refrigeration), reduce maintenance costs, enhance workflow, and improve safety and security.
