About Rytec University
Rytec Corporation has provided service training classes since 1993. These courses are designed for Rytec customers, dealers, installers and contractors. The courses covers installation, operation, adjustment and troubleshooting for all Rytec doors. New, existing and previous features, product updates and new products are covered as well. Students take part in general classroom training as well as hands-on adjustment and troubleshooting sessions. Rytec offers four different course levels including introductory, intermediate, advanced and customized training.
Classes are held on Thursday and Friday at Rytec Corporation in Jackson, Wisconsin. On Thursday class begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM; Friday class is from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Lunch is provided each day, with several breaks offered as well.
Rytec provides (at no charge):
• Two-day service training course
• All training materials
• Hotel room Wednesday and Thursday night
• Breakfast Thursday and Friday morning at the hotel
• Lunch on Thursday and Friday
• Dinner Thursday Night
People attending the school are responsible for:
• All transportation including air travel to Milwaukee, WI and ground transportation to Rytec (Jackson, WI)
• Car rental or ride service due to travel distance between the airport and our facility
• Miscellaneous meals and expenses (if desired).
• Major credit card required by hotel at check-in to cover any extra charges (movies, phone calls, room service, etc)
The Introductory Course is for those new with little to no experience with Rytec High Performance doors. The Intermediate Course is for those with previous and limited door experience with a minimum of 6 months troubleshooting experience. There is a pre-test that must be taken by each individual signing up for either the Introductory or Intermediate courses. The results of the test will confirm which course the student qualifies for.
The Advanced Course is designed for team leads, Rytec specific technicians, and/or field service managers. This class has a prerequisite of the Intermediate 201 Course certification and 6 months field experience after completing the Rytec 201 course.
Our Customized Service Training is designed for service technicians or maintenance personnel looking for personalized training on specific Rytec products. A pre-test and a minimum of 6 months troubleshooting experience is required. Please contact us for via phone to determine eligibility, customization and details regarding a custom service training plan.
Please note that staff from the same organization may qualify for different course on different dates depending on each applicant’s results. This is to maintain a consistent knowledge level of students during each course session.
