After a 38-year career, Steve Ashmore, Commercial Director with Nucor Door Technologies, has announced his retirement from Nucor Corporation effective July 24, 2026.
In his role, Steve provided strategic leadership in advancing sales initiatives and expanding customer opportunities within the Nucor Door Technologies division.
Steve joined Nucor following the acquisition of Rytec Corporation, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, Rytec continued to grow and excel operationally, culminating in its successful acquisition by Nucor. Steve’s leadership helped position Rytec for long-term success and laid a solid foundation for its next chapter as part of the Nucor family.
Before Rytec, Steve built an accomplished career leading sales teams and delivering strong growth at organizations including Optimerbrands, Travelport and MatrixOne.
Throughout his career, Steve has been recognized as a strategic, results-oriented leader with a strong commitment to teammates, customers, and business excellence.
